Data Issue Coordinator (1.0 FTE)
Role summary
As a Data Issue Coordinator you take ownership of data quality issues and contribute to data management projects. You coordinate and prioritise the issue backlog, align stakeholders to investigate root causes, guide them through resolution, and drive structural improvements in processes and data governance. With seniority you own cross‑domain data issues, coach colleagues in best practices, and act as a trusted partner for data producers, providers and consumers within Finance & Risk.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinating data issues: analyse issues, identify the correct issue owner and ensure all parties understand their role to resolve the issue.
- Engaging stakeholders: activate and align people across the organisation to resolve issues within guidance and timelines; secure buy‑in for improvement projects by providing clear purpose and roadmap.
- Driving structural improvements: act as the linking pin within Finance & Risk to support tribes in controlling data management and implement improvements in processes and systems.
Examples of projects and activities
- Align data producers with reporting teams to resolve a data issue affecting an annual report.
- Simplify data issue guidance and processes to increase the quality and speed of issue resolution.
- Cluster related issues into a manageable package and design/implement process flows to improve alignment between data quality monitoring and issue management.
- Plan and coordinate cross‑functional implementation of data management process improvements.
Qualifications and skills
- Education & experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (HBO/WO) with at least 5 years relevant experience.
- Languages: English mandatory; understanding of Dutch.
- Communication: excellent written and verbal skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Analytical & problem solving: identify root causes, detect patterns across issues and uncover process improvements.
- Project & stakeholder management: experience managing multiple complex tasks and guiding projects to completion.
- Proactive & independent: initiate improvements in data quality and data management processes.
- Domain knowledge: experience in data management (preferably DAMA DMBoK); affinity with data and finance. Knowledge of Finance and Risk reporting/modelling is a plus.
- Nice to have: Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB).

- Working model: Hybrid (office presence expected on Tuesday and Thursday).
