Solution Architect (deta-vast)
Location: Eindhoven • Hours: 38-40 u p/w • Employment type: deta‑vast (12 maanden). Freelance is not possible.
Role overview
As a Solution Architect within the global Asset Management and Pay per Use team you will design and guide implementation of end-to-end IT solutions across the domain, bridging business needs and technical execution to deliver functionally sound and technically robust solutions. You will guide development teams and promote standard out‑of‑the‑box applications while minimising custom development across an application landscape of approximately six applications ranging from basic SaaS to highly integrated global SaaS solutions.
Responsibilities
- Solution design: Collect business requirements and translate them into process, application, information and technology architectures; document solution architectures and designs and ensure alignment with the Enterprise Architecture Framework.
- Team functional leadership: Motivate, inspire and facilitate development teams to build solutions according to the architectures and designs.
- Architecture roadmap: Co‑create architecture roadmaps and a target state architecture with other Solution Architects and the Lead Architect; maintain and coordinate the architecture backlog.
- Enterprise collaboration: Contribute improvements to Enterprise Architecture and work with the Enterprise Architecture Community.
- Model maintenance: Ensure baseline architecture in the enterprise repository meets ArchiMate modelling standards and remains up to date.
- Trends monitoring: Track emerging technology trends and propose ways to leverage them to improve the Commercial Finance IT landscape.
Day‑to‑day
- Work with product owner and scrum team to deliver features with clear solution architecture and business value.
- Provide thought leadership on solution architecture; support and coach fellow architects.
- Operate in an Agile delivery model, closely aligning with developers in a scrum team.
- Be accountable for solution quality via professional guidance and quality assurance activities.
- Communicate complex IT topics to management in senior management terminology.
- Coach architects and developers to stimulate professional development and drive architecture adoption.
- Maintain an outside‑in, customer‑focused view to anticipate market developments and customer needs.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 3+ years as a Solution Architect; experience in financial/banking industry required. Familiarity with Inventory Finance is a plus.
- Certifications (preferred): TOGAF®, ArchiMate®.
- Languages: Excellent spoken and written English (fluency required). Dutch is a plus.
- Technical & architectural skills: Broad understanding of strategy and architecture modelling standards; experience with microservices, SOAP and RESTful APIs; experience with JavaScript frameworks (React, Node.js, Vue.js); cloud application development experience (Azure); experience with Business Process Management applications (PEGA); knowledge of secure coding practices (e.g. OWASP); knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Ways of working: Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Additional information
- Candidates should live within a maximum of 1.5 hours travel time from Eindhoven.
- During the onboarding period the role requires full‑time presence in the office.
- A pre‑employment screening will take place before start; candidates may only start after passing this screening.
