Risk Advisor
As a Risk Advisor you will identify, analyze and monitor strategic, financial, operational, compliance and sustainability risks, and provide expert advice to support decision-making at project and enterprise level. You will join the Risk & Internal Control team and report to the Lead Project Risk Management AC.
Responsibilities
- Act as a risk advisor by identifying, analyzing and monitoring risks across strategic, financial, operational, compliance and sustainability domains
- Maintain and further develop the enterprise risk management framework
- Translate and apply risk policies and frameworks to divisional contexts
- Provide expert advice and recommendations on risk mitigation measures
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at operational level
- Organize workshops, training sessions and presentations on risk management
- Support in drafting risk reports and contribute to external publications
Your profile
- Education: Academic degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or a related field, or HBO+ with relevant experience
- Experience: Minimum 3+ years in (project) risk management, preferably in complex infrastructure projects (energy is a plus)
- Strong experience in risk advisory and stakeholder management
- Experience with probabilistic risk analysis preferred
- Excellent analytical, communication, reporting and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently with a critical, objective stance
- Strong persuasive and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus)

- Focus on improving predictability through risk management and probabilistic analysis
- Hands-on project risk experience required in infrastructure sectors (e.g., contractors, engineering firms, public works organizations)
Practical information
- Location: Arnhem (max 2 days/week) — Monday and/or Tuesday, otherwise hybrid
- Working hours: 24–40 hours per week (flexible)
- Interview rounds: Maximum 2 (lead + team member)

Eisen
- Academisch werk- en denkniveau (Bachelor- of Masteropleiding) in Bedrijfskunde, Economie, Techniek of een verwant vakgebied of HBO+ met werkervaring
- Minimaal 3 jaar ervaring in (project) risicomanagement, bij voorkeur in complexe infrastructurele projecten
- Vloeiend in het Engels
- Kandidaten moeten hands-on projectrisico-ervaring hebben in de infrastructuursectoren (bijv. aannemers, ingenieursbureaus, openbare werken)
- Beschikbaarheid voor de volledige duur van de opdracht
- Een geldig ID (paspoort of identiteitskaart) moet worden getoond tijdens de intake en bij de start van de opdracht
Wensen
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in (project) risk management, preferably in complex infrastructure projects (the field energy is a big plus)
- Experience with probabilistic risk analysis is preferred
- Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus)
