Role summary
You create an environment for high-performing Data Science & GenAI teams that take end-to-end ownership and deliver valuable, reliable solutions. You work in an agile way, understand banking risk and compliance needs, and take ownership to make a positive impact. You recruit, mentor and empower technical talent while promoting continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration.
Key responsibilities
- Foster a collaborative, high-performing culture and empower team members to take ownership and develop skills.
- Recruit, mentor and retain top technical talent; encourage cross-functional skill development and collaboration.
- Encourage teams to own solutions from ideation to deployment and to deliver high-quality results.
- Ensure robust, effective and result-oriented software delivery processes to deliver reliable, scalable and secure solutions.
- Mitigate security and regulatory risks and collaborate with compliance to ensure adherence to standards and frameworks.
- Maintain control over budget, risk, compliance and HR related aspects of your teams.

Your profile
- Friendly and approachable
- Academic working and thinking level
- 5+ years’ experience in similar roles within complex IT environments
- Demonstrable affinity for complex end-to-end analytics product delivery
- Strong leadership capabilities to foster a collaborative and result-driven culture
- Solid understanding of software lifecycle management and quality assurance
- Experience hiring, mentoring and empowering tech talent
- Embrace Agile, Scrum, DevOps and software craftsmanship principles
- Fluent in English and Dutch, both verbal and written
- High-level and hands-on experience with GenAI capabilities; experience in an MLOps environment is a plus
- Experience in regulated or banking environments is a plus
