Position
You will work as a Cleanroom DevOps Engineer (Ransomware Recovery), supporting, designing, implementing, automating and testing IT infrastructure components and engineering applications with a strong focus on security for ransomware protection and recovery. You will deliver and maintain an autonomous cleanroom environment to allow rapid recovery, analysis and cleansing of affected systems.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement and automate infrastructure and application recovery capabilities for ransomware resilience.
- Deliver infrastructural improvements focused on security, recovery and automation.
- Protect and recover both application data and infrastructure configuration data.
- Ensure cleanroom systems meet security standards and support day-to-day operations, including incident, problem and change management.
- Support and optimize compute, converged, storage, backup and archive environments at large scale (approximately 21,000 VMs and ~20 PB of data across regions).
- Work in a small, multidisciplinary and international squad to expand an autonomous bootstrap recovery solution that is practical, supportable, performant and compliant.
- Share knowledge and collaborate with multiple services and teams.
Required skills and experience
- Essential: Proficiency in VMware Aria Automation.
- Essential: Understanding of ransomware resilience strategies (recovery planning, immutable backups, air gapping).
- Knowledge of security hardening best practices.
- Experience with role-based access control (RBAC) and privilege management.
- Understanding of common malware techniques and attacker behavior.
- Experience with vulnerability management and risk assessment.
- Understanding of cryptography, certificate handling and secrets management.
- Ability to implement and manage network segmentation.
- Preferred: Experience with Terraform.
- Familiarity with Ansible is advantageous.

- Versatile T-shaped engineer with curiosity across multiple supporting technologies.
- Comfortable building and operating secure, heavily automated environments that serve as a last-resort recovery capability.
- Able to produce practical, supportable and performant solutions compliant with security standards.
